Restructuring Research Analyst

Overview

LGG Advisors, with offices in Porto, Lisbon, London and Madrid, provides high value consulting services. Our Finance & Strategy team offers services including M&A Transactions, Debt Advisory, Due Diligence, Capital Raisings, Private Placements and Corporate Strategy. We are hiring a Restructuring Research Analyst to provide direct support to the Associates in the team.

Profile specification

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a similar role, namely as part of a Big4 Consultancy firm, debt restructuring firm or performing credit research or related work in an Investment Bank or Private Equity firm
• Fluency in English at a proficient level. Previous
  - time education taught in English or previous
  - time employment in a country of official English language are an advantage
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (Finance, Business, Economics or similar)
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power
  Point (advanced level)
• Interest in the financial services industry, with strong awareness of credit markets and industry developments

• Advanced technical and analytical skills in Corporate Finance and credit analysis, including financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and risk assessment

Key responsibilities

• Direct support to Associates on ad hoc client related projects
• Daily interaction and troubleshooting with high profile clients (primary liaison)
• Handling
  -
  - day correspondence with clients and their representatives
• Screening the debt market regularly to identify potential restructuring opportunities as well as monitoring ongoing credit developments and market trends
• Generating client facing presentations and company profiles as well as performing data analysis and financial modelling
