About the role

Ready to lead, disrupt, and reinvent the sleep industry? As a Retail Expansion Manager, you will shape the future of how Emma expands its retail presence across Germany, the UK, and Portugal.

What you'll do

• Find and approach potential independent store partners in Germany, the UK, and/or Portugal


• Work with partners to identify and assess potential store locations that fit Emma’s criteria


• Conduct market and retail research to determine the highest potential areas and cities


• Explain Emma’s store concept to partners, covering location requirements, layout, assortment, and customer experience


• Support or lead commercial discussions with partners around store setup and collaboration terms


• Act as the main partner contact during the store setup and opening process


• Coordinate with internal teams (BD, Retail Ops, Logistics, VM, Marketing, HR, IT, Finance) to ensure partners get everything needed for a successful launch


• Create and manage project timelines to ensure each partner store opens on time and with the agreed scope


• Ensure partner stores follow Emma brand guidelines, visual merchandising, and operational standards


• Gather feedback from partners and stores to improve the rollout and management of independent Emma stores

Who we’re looking for

• Experience in retail expansion, business development, real estate, or partner/franchise-like models


• Strong negotiation skills and solid commercial sense; comfortable with investors, landlords, and retail partners


• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and balance partner needs with Emma’s goals


• Comfortable working cross‑functionally with internal teams and external partners


• Analytical and structured thinking to assess locations, partners, and commercial trade‑offs


• Hands‑on, proactive, problem‑solving mindset, ready to dive into details


• Fluent in English; German and/or Portuguese a strong plus


• Willingness to travel across the UK, Germany, and Portugal
