Romanian Content Moderator

Overview

We are seeking a Romanian-speaking Content Moderator to join the Byte
Dance trust & safety team. The role focuses on reviewing, analyzing, and moderating content to ensure user safety and compliance with platform guidelines. This position requires strong emotional resilience, as it may involve exposure to sensitive or potentially disturbing content.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and moderate
  - generated content to ensure compliance with safety, legal, and community guidelines.
• Identify and remove harmful, abusive, or inappropriate material.
• Respond promptly to
  - related incidents, escalating cases where necessary.
• Maintain high quality and accuracy while meeting productivity targets.
• Contribute feedback on policies and process improvements.
• Stay informed about platform updates and safety standards.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Fluency in Romanian (C1/C2)
• Strong command of English (for training and internal communication)
• Ability to work
  - site in Porto
• High emotional resilience and ability to handle sensitive content
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and rotational days off

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or customer operations
• Familiarity with online platforms and digital media guidelines

Work Conditions

• Shift pattern: Monday to Sunday — 09:00 to 18:00, with 2 rotating days off
• Planned additional shift: 13:00 to 22:00
• Future possibility: Moving to a 24/7 rotation
• Work model: On-site only
• Compensation: Meal allowance per working day
