About the Role
As a Romanian Speaking Content Moderator, you will be on the front lines of digital trust and safety. Your primary responsibility will be to review, analyze, and apply platform policies to user‑generated content, ensuring a compliant and respectful online environment in the Romanian‑speaking market.
This role requires quick, objective decision‑making, strong emotional resilience, and a commitment to upholding community standards on a fast‑growing social media platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Review and Enforcement:
- Systematically review and evaluate user‑generated content (including videos, images, text, and comments) posted on the platform.
- Determine whether content adheres to pre‑defined community guidelines, policies, and legal requirements.
- Take appropriate action on content violations, which may include removal, restriction, or escalation.
- Policy Expertise:
- Maintain a deep and up‑to‑date understanding of all platform policies and moderation standards.
- Apply complex guidelines consistently and accurately in nuanced, context‑dependent situations.
- Quality and Efficiency:
- Meet or exceed daily and monthly performance metrics related to quality (accuracy) and efficiency (throughput).
- Utilize internal moderation tools and systems to log decisions and track content trends.
- Reporting and Collaboration:
- Identify emerging content trends, policy gaps, or new violation patterns and elevate them to management and policy teams.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and cross‑functional teams to share insights and improve moderation workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Language Proficiency: Native or near‑native fluency in Romanian (C1/C2 level), both written and spoken.
- English Proficiency: Good working proficiency in English (minimum B2 level) for training, reporting, and internal communication.
- Location: Willingness to relocate to or already be located in Porto, Portugal, for an on‑site role.
- Resilience and Professionalism: Emotional maturity and the ability to view and process sensitive, potentially disturbing, or graphic material while maintaining objectivity and a professional demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus and precision, with the capacity to analyze large volumes of content and identify subtle policy violations.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, high‑volume, and fast‑paced environment with evolving guidelines and shift schedules (rotational shifts may apply).
- Prior Experience: Previous experience in Content Moderation, Trust & Safety, or a related BPO role is a definite advantage but is not mandatory. Full paid training will be provided.
