The Saa
S Implementation Engineer / Technical Solution Architect is a key member of the Saa
S Enablement team within Varian’s Digital Oncology business unit. This team is responsible for the efficient delivery of Saa
S implementation projects.
We are seeking an organized professional with excellent communication skills to support DO Saa
S product implementations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Saa
S Enablement and other
- functional teams to deliver implementation projects. As part of the deployment team, you will play a crucial role in delivering multiple Saa
S offerings to Varian's extensive customer base.

The position can be based in Hungary/Romania/Portugal/Italy/Spain.
Role Description
- Establish credibility with technical, clinical, and business stakeholders.
- Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity to the Varian Cloud (AWS and Azure), HL7 messaging, FHIR, Cloverleaf, security settings, VPNs, and IP whitelisting.
- Work
- functionally within Varian to ensure a positive customer experience. - Provide
- facing technical leadership during implementations, focusing on networking, data interoperability, security, and operations for Varian’s Software-as-a-Service (Saa
S) portfolio. - Lead the design, development, and troubleshooting of Saa
S implementations, ensuring successful deployment from kickoff to
- live. - Perform cloud product installations and configurations, including
- premises connectivity. - Respond promptly to incidents and technical events.
- Review customer IT infrastructure and project plans to ensure alignment with installation requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on implementation operations for Product, Engineering, Sales, and other teams.
- Participate in internal testing and training procedures.
- Maintain and update customer
- supported product environments as needed. - Compile status reports for project managers and leadership.
- Analyze implementation data to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced customer satisfaction.
- Work with
- based and
- premises (physical and virtual) environments, including operating systems, databases, and networking technologies. - Complete task documentation in accordance with Varian’s quality processes and procedures.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Apply critical thinking, good judgment, and strong
- making skills. - Attend planning calls and provide technical input as needed.
- Complete
- provided training within designated timelines. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Digital Oncology and other business lines.
- Reports to the Director of the Saa
S Enablement Team.
Requirements And Qualifications
- Ability to work in a
- paced environment, handling multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner. - Excellent communication skills.
- Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Collaborative team player with a professional and composed demeanor.
- Willingness to travel for designated events (<15% travel required).
- Professional fluency in English.
Typical Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline with some postgraduate coursework or equivalent experience.
- Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power
Point, etc. ). - Required: Experience in IT, Cloud, and Networking.
- Desired: Experience with flowchart and diagramming software.
