Job Purpose and Overview

In your role as a Safety Coordinator, your focus is to implement, maintain and promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture at Dawn Foods Germany. Besides your responsibilities in HSE, you will also be involved in continuous improvement (CI) projects related to the Darmstadt production site. You will work closely with various teams on site at the Darmstadt location and participate actively in the European HSE team. This position reports to the Plant Manager of the Darmstadt site.

What will you do as a Safety Coordinator at Dawn Foods?

• Create, maintain and implement an HSE strategy aligned with Dawn Foods internal standards and legal requirements.
• Promote and drive a strong Health and Safety and Continuous Improvement culture.
• Carry out risk assessments to identify environment, health & safety risks and coordinate the effective implementation of action plans focused on HSE management, such as fire safety, machine safety, ergonomics, emergency response, etc.
• Lead various Continuous Improvement efforts and projects, improving HSE kpi's and production efficiency.
• Advise employees (shop floor, office and management) on health & safety prevention, including organizing information sessions and workplace trainings.
• Conduct health & safety inspections and audits, reporting findings and following up on effective implementation for process improvement.
• Analyze incidents and
  - accidents and developing control measures to prevent recurrence following Dawn Foods corporate standards.

What Does It Take to be a Safety Coordinator at Dawn Foods?

You are structured and team oriented. You take ownership and use concrete measures to achieve measurable results. You recognize yourself in the following profile:

• You have a Technical education and at least 2 years working experience in the Health & Safety field, or you are a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety.
• High Quality and safety awareness
• Structured and independent Working method
• Solid English skills (B2 level)
