Sales and Tender Specialist – Iberia (Spain & Portugal)
Airpelago works with electricity grid operators – primarily Distribution System Operators (DSOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) operating under EU procurement frameworks. The Sales and Tender Specialist plays a key role in Airpelago’s commercial expansion, combining new business development with the ability to manage and deliver competitive tender processes. You will identify, engage, and secure strategic customer accounts in Spain and Portugal, while also contributing to our broader European growth. This role requires a balance between building
- term customer relationships with DSOs/TSOs and delivering
- quality bids and proposals in line with EU procurement requirements. The position is based at Airpelago’s HQ in Gothenburg or remotely in Spain/Portugal, with frequent travel across Iberia and Europe.

- quality inspections with zero emissions. We are expanding across Europe and are looking for a motivated professional to help us build a strong presence in Iberia and other key markets.
Responsibilities
- Sales and business development: Develop and execute a sales strategy to establish and grow relationships with DSOs, TSOs, and other key stakeholders; identify and pursue opportunities, build a pipeline, and foster
- term partnerships; represent Airpelago at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings across Iberia and Europe. - Tender Management: Identify relevant tender opportunities under EU procurement frameworks (LOU/LUF or equivalents); prepare, manage, and deliver competitive bids and proposals that meet technical and regulatory requirements; collaborate with operations, product, and executive teams to shape winning offers.
- Market Development & Coordination: Track and analyze market trends to identify new opportunities; contribute to strategic planning and revenue forecasting; ensure alignment with Airpelago’s operational processes to guarantee efficient customer delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of B2B sales and tender management experience, ideally in energy, infrastructure, or technology.
- Demonstrated success in closing complex deals and/or managing public tenders.
- Familiarity with EU procurement frameworks and Iberian energy markets; wider European market experience is a plus.
- Strong skills in pipeline management using CRM tools (Pipedrive).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).
