We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to support Embraer Defense & Security Business Development in Europe and Africa.


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

You will support Sales and Business Development initiatives across Europe and Africa by delivering specialized technical assistance to the sales and business development team, as well as to other internal stakeholders involved in sales campaigns. Your responsibilities include promoting the full range of Embraer’s Defense and Security portfolio, with particular emphasis on the C-390 Millennium military aircraft and the A-29/A-29N Super Tucano.


MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You’ll collaborate with the sales and business development team, offering expert technical support to help drive progress.
  • You’ll assist with customer visits to aircraft and participate in aircraft demonstrations.
  • You’ll organize meeting materials and compile all necessary technical information to ensure productive sessions with customers.
  • You will serve as the primary technical contact for customers, effectively translating their requirements into customized solutions
  • Your responsibilities will include preparing aircraft performance analyses, conduct comparative studies, and develop various aircraft and
    - related materials
  • Additionally, you will work collaboratively with teams such as marketing intelligence, proposals and contracts, engineering, and customer support to ensure seamless integration and customer satisfaction.
  • Your role will involve supporting proposal development and negotiating contracts
  • Strong communication abilities are essential, as you'll interact both formally and informally with senior military officers
  • You should grasp the complexities of operational and business environments and be skilled at presenting these insights through written and oral briefings. The ability to draw informed conclusions and base recommendations on solid evidence is crucial for delivering accurate and persuasive advice
  • In addition, you should stay aware of trends in the defence industry and have knowledge of alternative options available in the market. Some understanding of how Embraer’s competitors’ offerings compare to those of Embraer is also required
  • Participation in sales meetings, tradeshows, events, and conferences is required.
  • Embraer places significant importance on ethics and its Code of Conduct. Embraer will need you to comply with company and department norms, policies, directives, and procedures, especially those from the FCPA and all relevant nations’ export control regulations


PROFILE OF THE SUITABLE CANDIDATE

  • BS or MSc Degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Aviation Sciences, or related fields
  • Awareness of current and emerging air and military operational technologies and trends
  • Proven expertise in project management
  • Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and in highly dynamic scenarios
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Self-confidence, resilience and flexibility
  • Proficiency in English is required. Familiarity with Portuguese, French, or German will be seen as an advantage
  • Salesforce proficiency preferred
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office applications
  • European passport holder residing in Europe
  • The role may require traveling up to half of your working hours to support various sales campaigns, depending on how many campaigns are ongoing and their stage of development
