Job Description
The Sales Representative is responsible for executing brand strategy and tactics in field sales performance. The role includes managing assigned territory and targeted accounts, developing and implementing account plans, building strong customer relationships, and addressing customer needs through sales enablement practices. Success is measured by maximizing short‑ and long‑term sales performance while placing the patient at the center of all efforts and operating within Abb
Vie’s business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Creates a pre‑call plan using SMART objectives and executes post‑call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance. Handles objections, misunderstandings and concerns, and consistently drives logical and reasonable calls to action to close every sale.
- Works proactively to serve customer needs, expectations and challenges, building trusted relationships and achieving win‑win agreements between Abb
Vie and customers. - Develops and executes a Multichannel Call Plan using all available resources, achieving set call metrics and optimizing coverage and frequency to key customers in order to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously builds an understanding of customer needs, territorial market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise, and shares intelligence with the in‑field team and sales manager to achieve alignment, anticipate environmental changes and optimize brand strategy.

Vie’s value proposition with health providers, identifying, developing and maintaining disease‑state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. - Delivers sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets and marketing objectives to meet or exceed all objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, business or a related field, or equivalent.
- Proven track record of success in sales performance within the oncology/immunology therapeutic area, preferably in hematology cancers.
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account‑based selling, training, managed care or marketing preferred.
- English language proficiency, verbally and in writing.
- Exceptional presentation skills and a proven record of selling. Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts the selling approach quickly.
- In‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product and competitive knowledge recognized by stakeholders; strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
- Innovative thinking to maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
- Capability to provide impact with ideas for the larger organization and anticipate and respond to change.
- Influences others, is a credible and respected role model, and builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams. Leads by example, consistently displays positive behaviors and coaches peers through change.
