Job Description

IT IPS SAP Operations manages SAP environments
- premises, in hybrid, and cloud scenarios for internal customers, adhering to security rules and governance guidelines.

The following competencies are expected from the service provider:

1. Support customers in infrastructure setup as the technical first contact.
2. Implement tasks such as SAP installations, upgrades, tech refreshes (hardware, OS), and other changes in coordination with customers.
3. Analyze issues in a standardized and automated environment.
4. Maintain standards and avoid individual solutions.
5. Collaborate in a virtual, dynamic environment, primarily communicating in English.
6. Translate business demands and requirements into technical solutions.
7. Availability for weekend work and
   - call support.
8. Provide first and second level support for all system lines.

Qualifications

Relevant skills to deliver the above competencies include:

1. Experience with challenges in
   - security data centers, such as network architecture and configuration (VPC, subnet, IP ranges, security groups, routing tables, gateways, VPN).
2. Knowledge of standard IT processes in large organizations, e. g. , ITIL.
3. Experience with Linux systems (preferably SLES), including system, namespaces, cgroups, and SElinux.
4. Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage, backup/restore procedures.
5. Proficiency in SAP HANA, SAP stack (ABAP/JAVA), SAP Web Dispatcher.
6. Experience with SAP upgrades, OS/DB migrations, system copies, cryptographic and certificate handling.
7. Experience with cloud vendors like AWS or Azure.

Additional preferred skills include:

1. Coding skills, preferably in Ansible and Python.
2. Proficiency with MS-Office.
3. Experience with HANA Studio/Cockpit, Putty, SAP GUI.

Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
