Responsibilities
The Scrum Master acts as a servant leader, enhancing team performance. Their primary goals are to deliver value and minimize unnecessary work. Using effective communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills, they work to improve Vodafone Business Channels for customers. With a strong focus on value delivery, the Scrum Master also helps resolve a variety of issues that may arise.
- Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example;
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove them;
- Support and coach the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and maintaining the product backlog according with the priorities and the goals;
- Constantly perform measurements and analyse metrics that matter with the team proposing performance improvements;
- Guide the team on how to maximize the benefits of self‑organization;
- Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
Qualifications
- Good analytic and critical thinking with a problem solving and root of cause analysis drive;
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least three years at product / software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory;
- Soft skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, coaching, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency;
- Experience with OKRs (especially if played OKRs Champion role);
- Experience with Design Thinking;
- Experience with Lean Portfolio Management;
- Knowledge or have participated in Scaled Agile initiatives (SAFe, Scrum@Scale or Le
SS); - Experience working in a cross‑teams environment and different cultures;
- First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, SAFe Scrum Master);
- Scrum and Kanban knowledge and practice;
- SAFE RTE Certification;
- CSPO or Professional Scrum Product Owner certification;
- KMP I, KMP II certification;
