Security Engineer (DevSecOps)
Overview
Mindera works with a variety of clients across the world to innovate and solve tough technical problems. Our security team enables Mindera to meet security standards and keep Minders safe from threats. This role primarily involves working within European time zones, with some travel to UK and USA (0%-15%).
Responsibilities
- Security monitoring and alerting. Evolve monitoring and alerting systems across infrastructure, including cloud environments,
- prem servers, and
- user devices (tools in use include Cortex XDR, ESET, Tenable). - Cloud automation. Use Infrastructure as Code to build, manage, and secure AWS and GCP environments; automate security controls, compliance checks, and deployment pipelines.
- Incident response. Participate in and improve incident response procedures and reporting.
- Infrastructure hardening. Work with infrastructure teams to identify vulnerabilities and guide hardening and verification of configurations.
- Security enablement. Advise Minders, contribute to security guidelines and best practices; collaborate with development teams to integrate threat modeling into the software development lifecycle and mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Experience. At least 3 years of
- on experience in security, Dev
Ops, or SRE. - Security architecture. Ability to design secure and resilient systems from the ground up.
- Automation mindset. Strong proponent of cloud automation and Infrastructure as Code for consistency and scale.
- Technical skills
- Familiar with cloud automation tools such as Open
TOFU/Terraform and AWS CDK; - Experience with data collection and analysis (SIEM, Elastic
Search/Open
Search, etc. ); - Experience with AWS security services; GCP knowledge is a plus;
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTPS);
- Linux proficiency; basic Windows and mac
OS knowledge; - Scripting (Python, Bash) and eagerness to learn software engineering practices;
- Communication. Strong communicator; proficient in English (spoken and written).
- Interpersonal skills and ability to support colleagues from diverse backgrounds;
- Autonomous and proactive work style in a distributed, dynamic environment.
