Position Overview
We seek a skilled Security Engineer to safeguard our innovative Intelligent Blockchain platform. You will drive security by providing expert recommendations, enhancing network security, and proactively identifying vulnerabilities. Collaborating with
- functional teams, you will ensure a robust security architecture and translate emerging security concepts into actionable designs. If you are passionate about cybersecurity, blockchain, and AI, this is your chance to make a significant industry impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Design and Decision-Making: Lead technical design decisions by providing security recommendations and risk mitigation strategies to ensure the integrity of Gen
Layer's Intelligent Blockchain. - Network Security Enhancement: Improve our network security posture through advanced procedures and strategies tailored to decentralized systems.
- Threat Modeling and Risk Assessments: Conduct threat modeling sessions and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in Gen
Layer's platform and processes. - Developer Consultation: Advise developers on security architecture, cryptography concerns, and best practices for secure implementation of Intelligent Contracts and LLMs.
- Security Research and Innovation: Research emerging security concepts, including cryptography and blockchain security, translating findings into actionable designs for Gen
Layer. - Proactive Vulnerability Identification: Identify and address internal security gaps within Gen
Layer's products, infrastructure, and processes to maintain a strong security posture.
Requirements
- Experience:
- 3+ years in cybersecurity focusing on network security, threat modeling, or risk assessments
- Experience with blockchain, decentralized systems, or AI-driven platforms is highly desirable
- Proven record in security architecture consulting and cryptography
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and tools
- Expertise in threat modeling methodologies (e. g. , STRIDE, DREAD) and risk frameworks (e. g. , NIST SP 800-30)
- Proficiency in cryptography, including elliptic curve cryptography, homomorphic encryption, or
- specific encryption methods - Familiarity with secure software development practices and vulnerability scanning tools (e. g. , YARA, penetration testing)
- Knowledge of blockchain protocols and smart contract security is a plus
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent
- solving skills with a proactive risk mitigation approach - Strong communication skills for collaboration and translating security concepts
- Ability to work independently remotely in a
- paced, innovative environment - Education:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications (e. g. , CISSP, CEH, OSCP) are a plus.
