About The Department

Our Security team is dedicated to securing Cloudflare and our customers. The Security Technology team collaborates with infrastructure and enterprise teams to secure our global systems.

About The Role

We seek an experienced security engineering manager to lead our team in building a safer Internet. Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with engineering, IT, and infrastructure teams to secure our global network and enterprise.
• Deploying and managing security tools to address risks at a global scale.
• Working with the Compliance team to ensure standards are met.
• Protecting our infrastructure from all types of attacks.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity.
• Leadership skills:
  
  hiring, coaching, leading teams.
• Experience with corporate IT platforms and systems.
• Advanced security knowledge for Linux, Mac
  OS, Windows.
• Experience with cloud security (GCP, Azure, etc. ).
• Strong communication skills for complex security requirements.
• Ability to build relationships and navigate ambiguity.
• Experience with infrastructure security technologies.
• Scripting and automation skills (Python, Terraform, Ansible).
• Programming experience (Python, Golang, Bash).
• Leading distributed teams.

Bonus Skills

• Linux system expertise from user to kernel space.
• Securing the software supply chain.
• Networking fundamentals:
  
  TCP/IP, secure design.
• Experience with governance standards like PCI-DSS, Fed
  RAMP.

This role may require
- call availability outside standard hours.
