What are we looking for

As an Application Security Researcher, you will be a part of the Checkmarx Application Security Research Team of the Security Research Group. You will be researching different languages, technologies, and software vulnerabilities, finding 0-days, and improving our code scanners. You will collaborate with security specialists, analysts, and developers to improve Checkmarx’s App
Sec solutions.

Responsibilities

• Research different security facets of multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Perform security code review and analysis of results produced by Checkmarx’s AST solutions.
• Analyze code containing various vulnerabilities written in multiple languages.
• Transfer application security expertise into practical ideas that can help improve App
  Sec tools (SAST, SCA, DAST, etc. ).
• Support developers and relevant stakeholders on information security topics.

Requirements

• Adept in application security – Deep understanding of security concepts, vulnerabilities, mitigations, and coding practices.
• Security work experience in a professional environment - Security research, web application penetration testing, secure development, security code review, or other similar fields.
• Familiarity with both interpreted and compiled languages.
• Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies independently.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to drive collaboration and innovation.
• Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a
  - paced environment.
• Proficient in English – both writing and oral presentation skills.
