Our Finance & Administration Business Line is looking for a Senior Accountant, who will have the following responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Assist with
  - end and
  - end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Control the
  - company flows and perform the necessary validation on a monthly basis.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure a smooth incorporation of the process and business.
• Support other teams in the correct accounting and tax framework of operations.
• Support for account analysis “Goods receipt/Invoices receipt”.
• Issuance of customer invoices and monitoring of customer accounts.
• Maintaining of fixed asset data.
• Support external audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Prepare and file tax returns VAT, CIT, WHT and other returns in compliance with Portuguese tax laws.
• Prepare and file statistical reports – INE, Intrastat.

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

1. Degree in Accounting, Economics, or finance related.
2. At least 5 years of experience in Accounting.
3. Accounting knowledge (preferably in International Accounting Standards – IFRS).
4. International experience will be a plus.
5. Good level of Portuguese tax knowledge.
6. Proficient in MS Office, with MS Excel and MS Word proficiency.
