We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support our continued growth. This role is based in Portugal and requires a proactive and
- oriented professional.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports and providing strategic support to management. This role demands a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a
- paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger accounting functions with assistance from the VP Finance, including
  - end and
  - end close processes.
• Prepare data for external financial reviews and audits, responding promptly to auditor inquiries.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
• Train and guide all departments on proper expense coding and other financial processes.
• Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and standards.
• Reconcile accounts, including bank, inventory, accounts payable/receivable, and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee inventory accounting, including landed cost calculations and adjustments.
• Collaborate with operations and logistics teams on import documentation and product costing.
• Support annual audits and tax filings with external partners.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in import/export or CPG sectors.
• Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with international transactions and currency accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and
  - solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work
  - functionally.
• Proficiency in ERP accounting software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail.
