Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant based in our Hei
Q Iberia office (Moreira da Maia, Portugal). You will lead accounting operations from Portugal for our international entities , ensuring a
- quality
- end close and reporting for Group consolidation , working closely with AP/AR/Treasury/Controlling and external providers.

You will report directly to Hei
Q Group’s Director Finance Operations.

Your responsibilities

Own
- end/year-end close delivery (quality + deadlines), supporting team development.

Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations and monthly balance sheet substantiation.

Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations and timely settlement/clearing of balances.

Prepare reporting packages for Group consolidation.

Perform FX revaluations and related postings.

Collaborate closely with AP, AR, Treasury, and Controlling teams to ensure data completeness and accuracy.

Coordinate with external providers (VAT/tax compliance, payroll).

Drive process improvements, documentation, and controls.

You bring (must-have)

Education & Certification

Degree (or master’s) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Management.

Experience & Technical Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting.

Strong close, reconciliations, intercompany, and audit readiness.

Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.

Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel - pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, financial modelling).

Language & Soft Skills

Fluent in English (written and spoken - mandatory).

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Collaborative mindset across multiple geographies; proactive and solution oriented.

Nice-to-have

IFRS exposure.

Certified Accountant (OCC).

German language skills.

Odoo ERP experience.
