We're looking for a
- oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support our continued growth (role based in Portugal).

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reporting and providing strategic support to the management team. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a
- paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage with assistance of VP Finance general ledger accounting functions including
  - end and
  - end close
• Manage with assistance of VP Finance preparation of data for external financial reviews and audits, respond timely to auditor inquiries.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
• Interacts with all departments in the training and guidance of proper expense coding and other accounting team's financial processes.
• Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and standards.
• Reconcile accounts, including bank, inventory, accounts payable/receivable, and intercompany transactions
• Oversee inventory accounting, including landed cost calculations and adjustments
• Collaborate with operations and logistics teams on import documentation and product costing
• Support annual audits and tax filings with external partners
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in import/export or CPG sectors
• Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting principles
• Experience with international transactions and
  - currency accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial modeling
• Strong analytical, organizational, and
  - solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work
  - functionally
• Proficiency in ERP accounting software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Microsoft Business Central experience desired
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail
