About the Role
Contribute to implement and maintain a strong control environment at the Finance level across all regions and entities under CIB supervision or delegated by the Central team, ensuring high‑quality financial data is reported to the Head Office and local authorities. Support the Accounting Controls teams in the regions.
Responsibilities
- Acquire a strong knowledge of the accounting control setup quality in the regions/entities under your scope.
- Build a strong, trust‑based partnership with region/entities/process stakeholders under your coverage.
- Ensure that the Group Accounting Control Plan is rolled out and monitored in the regions/entities under your coverage.
- Perform on‑site audits of the controls setup in the regions and entities under your coverage (travels will be required).
- Estimate and measure deficiencies identified in the accounting controls and prepare reports for Senior Management and governance bodies.
- Ensure Regional Finance teams comply with control obligations and fully implement the Group Accounting Control Plan and procedures prescribed by the Infinity EMEA Platform.
- Obtain and analyse FACT certificates from the different entities and regions.
- Understand the challenges faced by the entities/regions and contribute to the preparation of related reports.
- Monitor recommendations from General Inspection, Internal Audit, Regulators and External Auditors.
- Follow up on operational risk incidents involving Finance and their impact on the control framework; monitor remediation plans and timelines.
- Hold regular (at least quarterly) Internal Control Committee (FORCC) meetings with the regions and entities of scope to review accounting control issues.
- Contribute to the Accounting and Financial Risk Committee (AFRi
C) for allocated regions and transversal topics. - Hold ad‑hoc meetings with Regional Finance when needed.
- Ensure that any other Control Plans are properly rolled‑out.
Qualifications & Profile
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in control, finance or audit.
- Strong accounting expertise.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Strong and concise communication skills.
- Team player with strong control background, capable of questioning and challenging received information.
- Ability to manage priorities in a context of tight deadlines.
- Flexible in daily workload with good organisational skills.
- Curious, detail‑oriented, rigorous, reliable, open‑minded, well‑organised, efficient, methodical and spot‑on.
- Able to develop and leverage a network.
- Ability to understand, explain and support change.
- Capable of inspiring others and generating commitment.
- Ability to anticipate business and/or strategic evolution.
- Weekend working and long days during closing period are compensated according to the Bank policy.
