Senior Android Developer Setúbal

Responsibilities

• Build quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Design clean, maintainable, and testable code following architectural patterns and industry standards.
• Lead the development of complex features, owning implementation from design through to release.
• Collaborate closely with functional teams including product, design, and backend engineering.
• Drive a culture of technical excellence by promoting best practices, shared ownership, and code quality.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Champion operational excellence, including performance monitoring, debugging, and incident response.

What We’re Looking For

• Solid understanding of Android app architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience building applications that interface with RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of the Android platform, app lifecycle, and performance optimization techniques.
• A team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and share knowledge.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Jetpack libraries, Compose, or modular Android architectures.
• Exposure to CI/CD, unit testing, and agile software development practices.
• Background in focused products or traffic apps.
