Senior Application Support Specialist
We are looking for a
- oriented and technically skilled Application Production Support Engineer to join our IT Production team. This professional will be responsible for supporting and maintaining critical business applications, ensuring their stability, availability, and performance in a complex production environment. The role requires strong technical capabilities, ownership, and a commitment to delivering
- quality IT services aligned with ITIL best practices.
Work model: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)
Minimum English level: B2
Main Responsibilities:
Application Stability & Availability
- Monitor and maintain applications under the team’s scope, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Actively participate in incident management processes, including Situation Rooms for P1/P2 incidents, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and trend identification to drive
- term fixes. - Ensure compliance with ITIL governance and SLAs across IT Production.
- Execute change requests and deployments following ITIL and Dev
Ops practices. - Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal business impact.
- Participate in
- call rotations, guaranteeing 24/7 support for critical applications.
Technical Support & Collaboration
- Act as a key point of contact for Development teams, supporting troubleshooting efforts and coordinating fixes.
- Collaborate closely with Scrum teams to design, deploy, and enhance application systems.
- Implement upgrades, patches, and new functionalities, ensuring seamless user experience.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Share knowledge and best practices with global support teams to promote continuous improvement.
Platform Monitoring & Observability
- Implement and optimize monitoring solutions within the production environment (e. g. , Dynatrace).
- Collaborate with development and Centers of Expertise to enhance observability practices.
- Promote monitoring awareness and drive early detection and resolution of application issues.
Additional Responsibilities
- Complete mandatory training required for the proper functioning of the IT Production Area and the Company.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the objectives and operations of the Center of Expertise.
Technical Skills:
API, Application Servers & Kubernetes
- Experience with Java Application Servers (Red
Hat JBoss EAP) and Java diagnostics (heap/thread dump analysis, performance optimization). - Hands-on experience with Open
Shift and Kubernetes in cloud environments. - API gateway integration knowledge (Axway, Apigee).
Operating Systems
- RHEL Linux OS — Expert
Tooling — Expert
- Monitoring & Observability: Dynatrace, Jaeger, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK.
- CI/CD: Git
Lab, Argo
CD, Jenkins, Nexus Sonatype. - Infrastructure automation: Ansible and/or Terraform.
Databases
- Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Postgre
SQL).
