Senior Associate Data Security Engineer

What you will do

We seek a Senior Associate Data Security Engineer focusing on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM). Reporting to the Manager, Data Security, this role involves managing Amgen’s DLP and DSPM solutions, working with
- functional teams to implement security controls, and designing solutions to support our global operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and support Amgen’s data security solutions globally

• Manage incident and change processes for security technologies

• Assist in designing and improving data security solutions, including scripting and testing

• Analyze escalated DLP events, fulfill legal hold requests, and provide reports

• Collaborate with business teams to develop and tune DLP policies

• Analyze logs for suspicious activities and recommend improvements

• Support incident investigations

• Develop automation solutions to enhance response times and reduce risks

• Participate in meetings with stakeholders to ensure technical coverage

What we expect of you

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Cloud Access Security Platforms (e. g. , Netskope, Sky
  High)

• Understanding of cloud and Saa
  S environments (AWS, O365, etc. )

• Experience with Linux/Windows OS and infrastructure systems

• Experience with DLP and Endpoint Technologies in large enterprises

• Knowledge of security technologies in
  - cloud systems

• Scripting skills (Power
  Shell, Python) and query languages (SQL, Regex)

• Ability to document security implementations

• Familiarity with ITIL processes

• Experience working in complex enterprise environments

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a global team

• Self-motivated with strong initiative and multitasking skills

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree

or

• Master's degree + 2 years in Info
  Sec or IT

or

• Bachelor's degree + 4 years in Info
  Sec or IT

or

• Associate's degree + 10 years in Info
  Sec or IT

or

• High school diploma / GED + 12 years in Info
  Sec or IT

Preferred Certifications:

• SSCP or Security+

• SANS Certifications
