What You Will Do
As a key member of the Operations Financial Planning & Analysis team supporting Amgen Manufacturing Limited LLC in Puerto Rico, you will handle budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and closing activities. You will partner with site clients to ensure accurate, timely forecast submissions and monthly reporting while providing
- driven insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business planning and decision making through financial analysis.
- Manage standard cost development for raw materials during the standard cost process.
- Analyze raw material, purchase price variance, consumables and freight.
- Perform month‑end, quarter‑end, year‑end closing activities including accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly actuals financial reporting.
- Compile and analyze ad‑hoc requests.
- Support transformational initiatives through automation and financial process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support site objectives.
What We Expect Of You
The ideal candidate is an individual contributor leader with the following qualifications.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree and 2 years of finance or accounting experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
- Relevant experience in financial planning & analysis, accounting, and the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to present data concisely.
- Experience with SAP and Hyperion planning system, and/or other ERP and consolidation tools.
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Power
Point, and data visualization tools. - Detail‑oriented, able to handle a fast‑paced environment while delivering timely results.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
Preferred Requirements
- Prior experience supporting operations, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with raw material standard costing.
- Data analytics or data visualization and dashboard experience (Tableau, Power BI, Smartsheet, Alteryx, SQL).
- Understanding of continuous improvement concepts.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills (English).
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders.
- Energetic, detail‑oriented, highly motivated with a “can do” outlook.
- Flexibility to work with different time zones.
