Azure Data Engineer Role

As an Azure Data Engineer specialized in Microsoft Azure tools, you will support the implementation of projects focused on collecting, aggregating, storing, reconciling, and making data accessible from disparate sources to enable analysis and decision making. This role will also play a critical part in the data supply chain, by ensuring stakeholders can access and manipulate data for routine and ad hoc analysis. Additionally, you will support the full lifecycle of data from ingestion through analytics to action.

As a member of the Data Engineering team, you’ll have access to research, knowledge, and tools to create
- edge solutions across Avanade’s Business Intelligence practice. The role of Data Engineer is ideal for ambitious technologists passionate about working with the latest Microsoft cloud technology and Microsoft experts. Our clients look to us for innovation, which means you’ll have early access to the newest Microsoft technologies to master and stay ahead of the curve.

Minimum Requirements

• Existing experience in Data Engineering, ideally with large volumes of data
• Experience working with the latest Azure technologies, such as Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen 2), Cosmos DB
• Understanding of software engineering tools and concepts, including coding in languages such as Python, Scala, or Pyspark
• Confident communicator capable of reporting progress and challenges effectively
