As a Software Engineer at Redstor, you’ll design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable. NET applications leveraging the latest cloud technologies. You will also modernize and maintain our Java-based backup agent to support multiple modern operating systems.

Working within an Agile development environment, you’ll participate in daily scrums and collaborate closely with Development, Product Design, QA, and Operations teams to deliver
- quality features and delight our customers. You’ll align with Principal Engineers and Architects to ensure projects meet strategic goals and technical standards.

As a leader and mentor, you’ll guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning. You’ll evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance our solutions, uphold best practices through code reviews, and troubleshoot complex software challenges.

Essential skills, qualifications, and experience

• 5+ years solid experience with a combination of. NET/C# and Java
• Experience in writing client apps for both Windows and Unix-based operating systems that interact with OS features, filesystems, and system resources (VSS/LVM/System Services)
• Familiarity with agile development frameworks (e. g. , Scrum)
• Experience with building complex web applications and APIs (RESTful APIs, Security best practices, Scalability, Reliability)
• Strong working knowledge of a Cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience with writing and maintaining automated tests
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Experience with CI/CD automation and tools
• Understanding of latest development best practices, standards, and patterns
• Experience in coaching and mentoring technical teams

Bonus skills, qualifications, and experience

• Experience with microservices architecture, service discovery, and communication protocols
• Experience in containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and Application Insights
• Qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Background in a
