Emagine is currently looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join a
- term assignment with one of our international clients in the fintech sector. This is a strategic opportunity to be part of the creation of a new Centre of Excellence within a leading multinational company, helping to drive backend development excellence and scalable solution design.
The selected professional will work closely with
- functional squads, product owners, and stakeholders to build and maintain robust backend systems in a hybrid setup based in the Porto district, Portugal.
Your main responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node. js.
Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of APIs and internal services.
Collaborate with frontend and Dev
Ops teams to support
- stack delivery and deployment.
Write clean, testable, and efficient code aligned with best engineering practices.
Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues in a collaborative environment.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to
- sharing initiatives.
Support continuous improvement by identifying areas for backend architecture optimization.
You bring:
4–5 years of professional experience in backend development with Node. js.
Strong understanding of modern backend architecture and integration patterns.
Familiarity with API design, performance tuning, and database interaction.
Experience working in Agile software environments and hybrid teams.
A proactive and collaborative mindset, focused on clean code, scalability, and delivery.
English fluency .
