Smart Route Planning is a connected service (including vehicle software, web frontend, mobile app, etc. ) that aims at enabling the user to plan tours, tour stages and routes in a meaningful, feasible and comfortable way.

In relation to the driving task, relevant parameters and influences are taken into account (e. g. vehicle range, charging and fuelling, traffic, breaks, tachograph and many more).

Your Responsibilities:

1. Working in the context of automotive Io
   T you will create, test, deploy and run (Dev
   Ops) backend solutions,
   - based tools and
   - facing interfaces using modern cloud infrastructure;
2. You will develop and maintain functionality for Tour- and Route planning, focusing on electric vehicles, following agile methodologies;
3. You will create products, prototypes and MVPs for
   - vehicle services;
4. You take care of cloud native microservices using containers, serverless functions, RESTful APIs and event streaming;
5. You will be able to take end to end responsibility for the products you build, including usage of hardware test setups to validate compatibility with embedded systems;
6. You advise your team and other teams on all questions around backend and tool development in an automotive Io
   T environment and work together on continuously improving the service, tooling and processes;
7. You take initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks, being the interface between electrical engineers, IT technology and the user. You are a
   - oriented individual;
8. You are happy to learn new technologies and to solve problems in innovative and pragmatic ways.

Your Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in related field or comparable job expertise;
2. At least 5 years of experience;
3. Relevant experience in the conception and implementation of complex software solutions in an international context;
4. Solid experience with backend development in Java/Kotlin with focus on RESTful APIs and
   - driven architecture (e. g. Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, MQTT);
5. Relevant knowledge in frameworks, ideally Spring Boot;
6. Basic knowledge of Protobuf;
7. Relevant knowledge of relational database management systems (like Postgres);
8. Solid experience with Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles as well as common software design patterns. Emphasis on quality, maintainability and usability;
9. Very good English skills, both written and spoken;
10. Having an Agile and Dev
    Ops mindset;
11. Experience with CI/CD and microservice architectures;
12. Experience in using and integrating cloud services (preferably AWS) with cloud paradigms like Infrastructure-as-code, Paa
    S, alerting and monitoring is a plus;
13. Knowledge of Python for rapid prototyping and tooling is also an advantage
