Senior Backend Developer

The Senior Backend Developer role at Telenor will allow you to play a key role in developing and maintaining our digital platforms, delivering robust, scalable solutions that enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality backend services using Node. js and related technologies.
• Implement and integrate REST APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features in a microservice environment.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Identify and solve performance and reliability issues in our applications.
• Work within Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Engage in Dev
  Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization with Docker.

What You Will Need To Succeed

• Familiarity with Node. js frameworks such as Express. js and Nest
  JS.
• Experience with relational and No
  SQL databases (e. g. , Postgres, Dynamo
  DB).
• Experience in API development using REST, Graph
  QL, or SOAP.
• Good knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Good knowledge of Dev
  Ops tools (Docker) and CI/CD practices using Git, Jenkins and cloud‑based hosting platforms (Bitbucket).
• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth 2. 0).
• Experience with messaging systems (e. g. , Kafka).
• Strong communication skills (fluency in English) and a curiosity‑driven mindset.
• Demonstrated growth mindset and willingness to learn new technical and non‑technical skills.

Bonus Skills

• Interest in AI‑assisted development and familiarity with tools like Git
  Hub Copilot to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Experience with single‑page applications and Headless CMS architecture.
