Senior Backend Engineer (C#/.NET) — REST API Expert

We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our Nearshore team, focusing on creating solutions for VW Financial Services. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend of VW applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components using C# and. NET Framework
• Build and extend RESTful APIs for core services and system integrations
• Lead and participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers when needed
• Conduct unit and integration testing, diagnosing issues, and ensure performance
• Work closely with analysts and product teams to understand business needs
• Operate within Agile/Scrum methodologies, participating in sprints and planning sessions
• Contribute to refactoring and improving existing systems for better maintainability and scalability

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of backend development experience with C# and. NET Framework
• Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably SQL Server or Oracle
• Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and clean architecture
• Hands-on experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks
• Proficient with Visual Studio, source control systems, and deployment practices
• Excellent
  - solving skills and attention to quality
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory for daily communication and documentation

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to. NET Core /. NET 6+ and migration projects
• Experience with containerization (Docker) or CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
• Knowledge or experience in the financial services industry

Education & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, if required.
• Great Communications skills and fluency in English (mandatory)
