- class clinical support, making each patient’s journey as individualized as possible. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the AI Team, you will build, scale, and optimize infrastructure supporting ML-powered features and innovations in Generative AI, working closely with
- functional teams to ensure robustness, scalability, and security of products.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Architect, design, and build backend systems transforming AI technology into
   - ready products;
2. Externalize technology focusing on reliability, performance, and usability;
3. Collaborate with the AI team to turn research into enterprise solutions;
4. Design and optimize APIs, database schemas, and data workflows for AI/ML pipelines;
5. Develop backend architectures for deploying machine learning models in production;
6. Work with AI and Data teams for scalable deployment of ML models;
7. Define technical requirements with Product, Data, and Engineering teams;
8. Identify performance bottlenecks and scale systems accordingly;
9. Drive technical decisions on infrastructure, tools, and best practices;
10. Mentor junior engineers and promote high standards of code quality and testing.

What you need to have:

1. 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, focusing on scalable systems;
2. Proficiency in Python, with experience in Python frameworks/libraries;
3. Experience integrating with external systems using various tech stacks;
4. Solid experience with SQL and No
   SQL databases;
5. Proven ability to build
   - performance APIs;
6. Strong understanding of software design, microservices, and
   - native applications;
7. Ability to work in agile environments and collaborate effectively;
8. Excellent
   - solving skills.

Preferred experience:

1. Experience in healthcare or
   - tech;
2. Integrating AI/ML models into production;
3. Distributed systems and
   - availability services;
4. Proficiency with Python frameworks like Fast
   API, Django, Flask;
5. Experience with messaging systems (GCP Pubsub, Kafka, Rabbit
   MQ);
6. CI/CD and automated testing experience;
7. Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes);
8. Passion for healthcare challenges.

Salary: €55, 360 - €86, 995 annually, including base, variable, and equity components. Compensation is adjustable based on skills and impact. Benefits are also provided.
