Role Overview:

You will build scalable microservices while measuring and monitoring system performance. In addition, you will use experimentation, backed by data analysis, to add product features and deliver the best user experience on the platform.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, primarily in Ruby, that handle millions of daily requests.
• Write clean, scalable, and
  - tested code using modern software principles.
• Apply Infrastructure-as-Code and Continuous Delivery best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers in
  - functional teams.
  
  
• Conduct peer reviews, share knowledge, and mentor junior engineers.
  
  
• Use experimentation and data to validate ideas and improve system performance.

What You'll Bring:

• At least 7+ years of experience in software development, specifically with OOP (object-oriented programming) - Ruby experience would be nice, but not mandatory;
• You have experience in designing, implementing, and deploying backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and consistency;
• You have proven experience in collaborating closely with other engineers to become a valued member of an autonomous,
  - functional team;
• You have mentored junior engineers, and you enjoy cooperating with engineers throughout the company;
• You understand the value that you can add to the business, the product, and the impact of your work on customers;
• You feel comfortable documenting RFCS and describing problems, opportunities, pros, and cons of solution alternatives.
