Overview

Senior BI/Data Engineer – Remote at Match Profiler.

Location: Beja, Beja, Portugal (Remote).

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and optimize data architectures for
  - scale data platforms.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python.
• Build and optimize data models (dimensional modeling, 3NF, data vault) and manage data warehousing on Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Implement data quality frameworks and orchestration (Airflow, dbt).
• Collaborate with stakeholders, provide clear communication, and uphold engineering best practices (version control, code reviews).

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL with data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Data modeling expertise (dimensional modeling, 3NF, data vault).
• Proficiency in Python (ETL/ELT pipelines, automation).
• Experience with modern data warehousing platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
• ETL/ELT design and optimization for
  - scale data pipelines.
• Data Lake architectures and
  - scale data solutions.
• Data visualization tools: Looker, Tableau (or similar).
• Data quality frameworks & orchestration tools (e. g. , Airflow, dbt).
• Engineering best practices: version control, code reviews, development standards.
• Soft skills: good communication, team spirit, proactivity, time management.
