As a Senior Big Data Engineer (Scala/Spark), you’ll be responsible for developing robust data pipelines, maintaining infrastructure, and optimizing performance across distributed systems. You’ll also contribute to Dev
Ops and CI/CD workflows, working closely with platform teams to ensure smooth delivery and deployment of big data solutions.

The project aims to implement pipelines and infrastructure for generating reports based on large volumes of data. Our team designs, codes, and verifies jobs written in the latest Scala/Spark versions, ensuring accurate statistics for stakeholders.

While this role is primarily for a Big Data Engineer, CI/CD and Dev
Ops knowledge are highly advantageous as infrastructure work is part of the role.

Essential functions

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines using Apache Spark and Scala
2. Ensure accuracy and efficiency of statistical algorithms in production
3. Collaborate with global engineering teams on distributed data architecture and design
4. Work with
   - scale distributed systems (e. g. , Hadoop, Kafka, Cassandra) for data ingestion and processing
5. Contribute to building and optimizing Data Lakes and Data Warehousing solutions
6. Support and improve CI/CD workflows, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes

Qualifications

1. Proficiency in Scala/Spark
2. Hands-on experience with Hadoop
3. Experience with processing and computation frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, Dataframe/SQL API
4. Experience implementing Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, or analytics systems is a plus
5. Good understanding of distributed computing technologies, approaches, and patterns
