Senior Business Analyst – Banking & Finance

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in Finance and Accounting , specifically within the banking sector . The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure finance and regulatory requirements are accurately captured and translated into effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with finance, accounting, and regulatory reporting teams to gather and analyze business requirements.

Translate business needs into detailed functional and
- functional specifications.

Work closely with IT teams to design, validate, and implement solutions aligned with finance and accounting processes.

Participate in testing phases (SIT, UAT), including test case design, execution, and defect management.

Support project planning, scoping, and risk analysis for
- related initiatives.

Ensure compliance with banking regulations and accounting standards (e. g. , IFRS, Basel III).

Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.

Contribute to change management, training documentation, and user support during rollouts.

Monitor and evaluate ongoing processes, identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

5–6 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in the banking sector, with a strong focus on finance and accounting.

In-depth understanding of financial instruments, general ledger, P&L, balance sheet processes, and regulatory reporting.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or local GAAP).

Experience with banking core systems and finance tools such as SAP, Oracle, Avaloq, and Temenos (Technical Competency Level: 3).

Solid understanding of

- end project lifecycles (Agile and/or Waterfall).

Excellent analytical and
- solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) – English Level: C1 .

Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders across business and IT teams.

Functional and
- level expertise in banking processes and systems (Functional & Management Competency Level: 3).

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Basel III, FINREP, COREP, or other regulatory frameworks.

Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices.

Experience with ETL tools, data warehouses, or reporting platforms (e. g. , Power BI).

Working knowledge of French – French Level: B2 .

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Business Analysis certification (e. g. , IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
