Senior Business Analyst

Location: Lisbon - 2-3 times a week in the office

Type of Contract: Permanent Contract

? Languages Required:

• Fluency in English (B2–C1 level)
• Fluency in French (B2–C1) - MANDATORY

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior SQL Developer to join a challenging and multicultural IT environment. You will play a key role in the design and development of a Data Processing application, executed in Batch mode using Spark SQL. This role is ideal for someone with strong SQL expertise, solid experience in data processing environments, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in an Agile setting.

✅ Required Skills

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT or banking environments.
• Strong expertise in requirements analysis, functional specifications, user stories, story mapping, and test documentation/execution.
• Hands-on experience preparing and writing functional/technical documentation.
• Project management skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of SQL queries and database models.
• Solid understanding of technical architecture.
• Fluency in English (B2–C1 level)
• Fluency in French (B2–C1) – priority given to francophone profiles.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Expertise in bank transfers and payments operations.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence.

• Analyze existing systems and propose functional designs for enhancements.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements.
• Draft specifications, functional design documents, risk analyses, and test plans.
• Support business stakeholders and participate in governance/committee
  - ups.
• Prepare, execute, and monitor testing activities.
• Support production deployment and ensure smooth operations.
• Document and communicate functional and technical requirements effectively.
• Collaborate closely with IT teams, business users, and external publishers/vendors.
• Contribute to process improvement and Agile delivery practices.
