Business Analyst - OTT / Streaming Industry

Ovyo is an professional services company specializing in the satellite, telecommunications, media, and broadcasting, transportation and many more sectors. Our management team is located in the UK and Portugal and we have technical teams based across other European countries, US and India.

We are currently actively looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join one of our teams working within EST time zone. Here you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and analysing user behaviour, content and subscription trends

Location: Remote

Duration: 3 Month Minimum

Time Zone: EU hours

Responsibilities:

• Analyse
  - specific metrics (e. g. , watch time, churn rate, content stickiness, and subscriber lifetime value) to uncover growth opportunities.
• Build and maintain OTT-focused dashboards and reports to track KPIs like viewer retention, content consumption, and platform performance.
• Gather and document requirements for streaming platform features, such as personalized recommendations, adaptive bitrate streaming, or
  - device synchronization.
• Conduct competitive analysis of rival OTT platforms to benchmark performance and identify differentiation strategies.
• Support experimentation (e. g. , A/B tests on UI/UX or pricing models) to boost subscriber acquisition and retention.
• Present actionable insights to stakeholders, translating streaming data into strategies that elevate user satisfaction and business outcomes.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with a focus on OTT, streaming, or digital media industries.
• Advanced skills in data analysis tools (e. g. , SQL, Python, Tableau, or Looker) tailored to streaming datasets.
• Deep knowledge of OTT metrics, including ARPU, DAU/MAU, engagement funnels, and content performance analytics.
• Proven experience with subscriber behaviour analysis, cohort studies, or funnel optimization in a streaming context.
• Ability to thrive in a
  - paced, remote environment with a passion for the OTT industry.
• Up-to-date with streaming trends, technologies, and platforms (e. g. , Netflix, Disney+, or Hulu).
