As we gear up for our next phase of growth, we’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager/Business Development Director to join us and lead our commercial efforts in developing, scaling, and commercializing the company’s protein portfolio.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager or Business Development Director to lead our commercial growth strategy. This role will focus on building strategic partnerships, securing concept and pilot projects, and developing
- term revenue opportunities in both food and food sectors.
You will lead the change in developing and executing market strategies that will position our
- derived bioactive proteins as the solution of choice for a variety of industries. You will be a key player in the executive team, working directly with top management to spearhead our market growth efforts. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a company that’s disrupting the nutrition industry. You will be tasked with developing and executing strategies that create unique value propositions for our customers across various sectors, identifying growth opportunities, and managing key relationships to drive sustainable growth and expand our market reach. You will be instrumental in building the business development, marketing, and sales departments while ensuring the success of all product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Market Development: Work closely with top management to develop and implement market development and expansion strategies. Analyze and penetrate new markets, positioning PFx Biotech as a leader in advanced nutrition.
- Value Proposition Creation: Develop unique, compelling, tailored value propositions for customers across multiple sectors and verticals, ensuring that our offerings meet and exceed market needs.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis, evaluate competitors, and gather customer insights to guide strategic decisions. Position our products for success through innovative market strategies.
- Stakeholder & Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners. Collaborate with R&D and operations to align product innovation with market needs. Drive customer engagement and build
- term partnerships. - New Customer Acquisition & Sales Channel Growth: Lead efforts to acquire new customers and expand sales channels. Build relationships with distributors, partners, and clients, introducing innovative concepts aligned with market trends.
- Global Vision: Identify international market opportunities and lead initiatives to establish our presence in key regions. Position our bioactive proteins as a global solution for health and sustainability challenges.
- Fundraising Support: Provide market analysis, insights, and competitive positioning to support fundraising efforts. Collaborate with leadership to attract investors.
- Product Launch: Lead the successful launch of our bioactive specialty proteins. Design and implement market strategies to ensure broad acceptance and strong competitive positioning.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships in biotechnology, ingredients, food, or life sciences.
- Experience in both B2B food and food ingredient markets internationally. Experience in launching bioactive ingredients is a plus.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technology into market opportunities. Experience working with R&D, product development, and leadership.
- Established network in nutrition, wellness, and specialty ingredients sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a
- paced, growth environment. - Experience in building and scaling business operations, launching new products, and entering new markets.
- Analytical skills with experience conducting market and competitive analysis to inform strategy.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic growth initiatives with measurable results.
- Supportive of fundraising activities through marketing insights and strategies.
