KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Good interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management both inside JAC Products and outside in supplier company organizations.

2. Attain a level of product and/or commodity knowledge and attain a level of awareness of supplier operations as they pertain to the company. Travel will be required (approximately 20 percent) to various supplier locations.

3. Professionally resolve problems (both internal and external) in a fair and ethical manner.

4. Participate in Program management reviews to support new program launches.

5. Represent Purchasing on various
- functional teams.

6. Responsible for sourcing qualified suppliers in support of program needs, purchase order issuance and administration, and ongoing monitoring and development of suppliers.

7. Maintain current and develop new suppliers of purchased parts.

8. Implement cost avoidance and cost reduction plans.

9. Control the cost of purchased materials within budget and generate cost reduction action plans.

10. Responsible for controlling costs of purchased materials through use of cost targets, negotiations, market tests, make/buy proposals, design and/or process changes, and material substitutions.

11. Develop and implement cost reduction program through vendor, material, contract reviews.

12. Market test purchased parts to ensure that most effective buying is implemented.

13. Must be a
- starter able to work without close supervision.

14. Support plant personnel as needed in material outage situations.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:

§ Solid negotiation skills

§ Solid analytical skills

§ Purchased parts sourcing and negotiations.

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor Degree

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

§ Internship to 5 Years purchasing experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

§ Experience in Plastic Injection and Aluminium areas
