Overview

Menten AI is growing and seeks a
- time Senior Cloud and Dev
Ops Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and scaling of our cloud infrastructure in support of a
- edge computational platform for discovering cyclic peptide therapeutics. In this role, you’ll take ownership of our GCP-based environment, architecting scalable and
- efficient systems, automating deployment pipelines, and improving observability and reliability across the stack. You’ll work closely with the rest of the platform development team to deliver a secure,
- performance infrastructure that powers
- world drug discovery. This is a

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using modern Infrastructure-as-Code (Ia
  C) practices
• Architect scalable, secure, and
  - efficient systems to support a
  - native drug discovery platform, including containerized workloads and batch processing
• Lead infrastructure and Dev
  Ops initiatives, from planning through execution, to support a growing
  - based application ecosystem
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git
  Lab to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Enhance observability and reliability by implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions tailored to production workloads
• Optimize and scale relational databases, particularly Google Cloud SQL with Postgre
  SQL, ensuring performance and availability meet the platform’s evolving needs
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to support deployment strategies, service reliability, and infrastructure requirements throughout the development lifecycle
• Work
  - functionally with scientific and platform teams to translate R&D needs into scalable cloud solutions
• Continuously evaluate and improve cloud cost efficiency, system performance, and platform reliability
• Contribute to a positive team culture supporting personal and professional development in line with the company’s core values and mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Dev
  Ops, Cloud Engineering, or similar roles
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools, especially CDK for Terraform (cdk-tf)
• Proficiency in Python and Type
  Script, particularly in the context of infrastructure automation
• Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads (e. g. , Docker, Google Cloud Batch, or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to architect, implement, and scale cloud infrastructure in production environments
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience building pipelines (Git
  Lab, Jenkins, etc. )
• Proven ability to work
  - functionally with software teams and align infrastructure to application needs
• Experience with Google Cloud SQL (Postgre
  SQL) in
  - performance or
  - scale environments
• Strong attention to detail, an interest in picking up new skills, and the ability to work independently in a
  - moving environment

Nice to have

• Experience supporting scientific or
  - intensive applications in biotech
• Exposure to batch computing,
  - throughput pipelines, or distributed systems
