Senior Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the development of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Collaborate with Cloud Architects to align the platform's architecture with company objectives.
• Establish best practices for infrastructure as code implementation and automation.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment.
• Ensure robust security practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance.
• Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application deployment issues.
• Work closely with Dev
  Ops teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven track record of delivering cloud infrastructure management.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform).
• Strong understanding of networking principles and security practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Problem‑solving mindset with ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Location

Remote or hybrid, but you must be physically located in Portugal.
