Senior Consultant - Tax Mobility | Lisboa / Porto
Overview
The opportunity Our PAS Mobility practice provides services to manage the cost and risks involved in HR plans, programs and systems related to a global workforce. We advise the part of business strategy related to people. As a Senior Tax Consultant, you’ll be providing strategic tax planning recommendations to clients. You’ll have the opportunity to work with global clients to address their most complex people challenges, and ultimately improve and drive sustainable business results.
Key Responsibilities
With the Mobility Tax team, you’ll join a talented group of professionals that provide individual tax planning, compliance services and advice on tax implications related to the mobility of employees as well as corporate and employment tax planning. Our key capabilities include: Mobility Tax Compliance, Income Tax Advisory & calculations, Cross-Border Share based incentive schemes & expatriate compensation and Global and Local Employment Tax Compliance & Advisory. You will be engaged in complex compliance and advisory work; working with colleagues all over the globe, preparing tax returns, reviewing/signing off, writing correspondence, providing authoritative advice/guidance, and review tax cost estimates. Directly engaging our clients is vital, be ready to question and negotiate to provide results.
Key attributes for success
- Successful delivery of Mobility (Expatriate) Tax projects: technical excellence and practical/business driven approach to solving complex client challenges;
- Provide quality tax returns and overseas tax filings and prepare/review calculations (international tax cost projections, equalization and hypothetical tax);
- Generate revenue through identifying
- on engagement opportunities and developing lasting relationships with clients; - Identify potential risks and opportunities to improve processes and acquire new business;
- Develop understanding of expatriate tax issues, trends and tools, and maintaining your reputation as an authoritative professional;
- Managing, coaching, and developing junior resources and peers, focusing on their technical and client service skills to develop their career.
Qualifications
- Min. 3 years of relevant experience in similar functions;
- An understanding of automated
- processing systems, as well as tax laws; - Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Fluency in English;
- Strong analytical and numerical skills;
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft based packaged, e. g. Excel.
