About the role

The FOC Senior Controller is responsible for the creation, implementation and development of global controls across all asset classes by performing first‑line of defence processes for regulatory bodies such as mi
FID II, FED, CFTC, Volcker, EMIR, etc. The FOC team was created in 2018 to enhance regulatory and internal controls in response to recent changes in the regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a strong and resilient control framework within BNP Paribas.
• Identify and analyse financial transactions to discover potential breaches and propose solutions.
• Strengthen and develop current controls for greater accuracy and efficiency.
• Build and create new controls as necessary, according to new regulatory requirements.
• Lead or participate in projects related to controls.
• Identify development opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.
• Present at high‑level meetings and facilitate agendas.
• Oversee ad‑hoc queries from management and business within a global remit.
• Onboard, train and mentor less senior team members when needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.
• 3–4 years of experience in banking and financial operations.
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge of transversal financial markets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong project management and delivery orientation.
• Capability to develop and adapt processes.
