What You'll Do
As a Digital Customer Solutions Engineer (CSE), you will be the trusted technical advisor throughout a customer’s lifecycle. You are a Cloudflare product expert and will leverage your knowledge to ensure Enterprise customers understand and utilize the Cloudflare platform to its fullest extent. Your goal is to help customers be successful and derive the most value possible from their Cloudflare investment.
You will strive to understand customer requirements and issues at a detailed level, identify root causes of problems, and implement scalable, elegant solutions. You will work closely with Digital Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to drive customer success across the organization.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to expand existing business and ensure customer success via 1:1 engagements and 1:many events
- Be part of a regional pool of CSMs and CSEs supporting customer needs
- Deliver timely onboarding for customers, help them see full value in Cloudflare products, and advise on best practices
- Participate in content creation and delivery for technical customer workshops
- Provide proactive technical guidance across your main specialization and a secondary area
- Collaborate with Customer Support, Engineering, and other teams to assist with technical escalations
- Identify opportunities for expansion and contribute to customer retention by communicating gaps in product or features
- Contribute to the success of the CSE organization through
- sharing and documentation efforts
Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Experience
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages (e. g. , Spanish, German, Russian) are a plus
- 5-8 years of prior
- sales customer relationship management - Deep understanding of how the internet works, including OSI model layers and protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP)
- Knowledge of proxies, security (Firewalls, WAFs, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, (M)TLS, Zero Trust)
- Performance aspects such as Speed, Latency, Caching, HTTP/2, TLSv1. 3
- Problem-solving mindset and a passion for troubleshooting
- Ability to stay up to date with Cloudflare products and industry trends
- Project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
