Job Description
The Bosch Group has more than 400 000 employees around the world and is present in 60 countries. In the city of Aveiro, Bosch has a large production site for the Bosch Home Comfort division and a Research & Development Center for new heating solutions. The role is part of the Business Digital Organization | Platform Solutions team, and you will help design, develop, and evolve the Cloud Data Platform that empowers the Mobility Aftermarket teams to make smarter, data‑driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build data pipelines on the Cloud Data Platform.
 - Model complex data: design and refine scalable, reliable data models for advanced analytics, reporting, and AI‑driven use cases.
 - Drive innovation: evaluate, test, and implement emerging cloud technologies to enhance platform performance and capabilities.
 - Ensure operational excellence: monitor, optimize, and maintain data workflows and system integrity for high performance and data quality.
 - Collaborate cross‑functionally as a technical expert, supporting other teams in integrating data and leveraging the platform.
 - Promote best practices: advocate data engineering standards, share knowledge, and enable stakeholders to derive maximum value from their data.
 
Qualifications
Education
- A university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
 - Or proven professional experience in data engineering and cloud technologies.
 
Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer in cloud‑based environments.
 - Hands‑on experience with the Azure ecosystem and modern data architectures (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, ETL/ELT).
 
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL.
 - Experience with Databricks, Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.
 - Familiarity with Azure Purview (plus).
 - Understanding of Dev
Ops principles and agile development methodologies. - Knowledge or exposure to AI development (advantage).
 
Soft Skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving and continuous improvement orientation.
 - Quick learner, adaptable to new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
 - Excellent communicator and team player in international, cross‑functional environments.
 
Languages
- English: Mandatory.
 - Portuguese: Nice to have.
