Role: Data Engineer (Remote - based in Portugal)

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines (Python, Py
  Spark, SQL) to process large datasets;
• Work with Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and Datalake to deliver reliable
  - based solutions;
• Design and maintain data models & warehouses that enable BI and reporting;
• Ensure data governance, quality, and performance optimization;
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions;
• Support deployment and monitoring of data products and ML pipelines in production.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering;
• Strong expertise in Python, Py
  Spark, and SQL (including performance tuning and Spark internals);
• Hands-on experience with Azure ecosystem: Databricks, Data Factory, Datalake Storage, Dev
  Ops;
• Solid knowledge of dimensional data modelling and data warehousing principles;
• Background in software engineering best practices (OOP, TDD, CI/CD, version control with Git);
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications;
• Experience with deployment and monitoring of pipelines in production environments;
• Knowledge of Google Analytics data and reporting tools is a nice to have;
• Written and verbal communication skills in English (B2 or above);
• Candidates must be based in Portugal and possess either European citizenship or a valid Work Visa/Residence Card – mandatory requirement;
