We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer / Architect to join a global retail organisation, as part of a dynamic, and growing Data and Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and expansion of a
- edge, data platform. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring smooth data integration, and supporting reporting and analytics needs. This position also involves working closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to align the overall data architecture strategy and implementation.

This role is hybrid , based in Lisbon, Portugal (office working could be flexible).

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support reporting and analytics within the Microsoft environment.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple ERP systems and other data sources, ensuring seamless data flow within Microsoft Fabric.
• Data Architecture: Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to align data strategy and architecture.
• Data Quality and Governance: Implement and maintain data governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across all pipelines.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide clear, actionable solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data architecture in the Microsoft stack.
• Ideally
  - on experience with Microsoft Fabric and managing data pipelines in this environment.
• In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and phased data acquisition processes.
• Expertise in implementing data governance and ensuring data quality across multiple platforms and systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues efficiently and proactively.

Experience:

• Proven experience in data engineering and/or data architecture in a growing or evolving data environment.
• Strong background working within Microsoft Fabric or similar data environments.
• Experience with phased data integration and ERP systems.
• Fluent English language proficiency
