About the Challenge

Eneida is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to define data pipelines and lead data strategies. This role requires knowledge of best practices and proficiency with frameworks to enhance Eneida's data handling capabilities. In this role you will work with data scientists, analysts, business stakeholders, and data governance teams to ensure compliance with best practices.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to understand data needs
• Translate business requirements into scalable and reliable data solutions
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of data workflows
• Apply best practices in CI/CD, version control, and data quality monitoring
• Integrate AI/ML tools for anomaly detection and predictive checks
• Ensure observability using platforms like Grafana or similar tools
• Mentor team members and support their technical development
• Promote clean architecture, proper documentation, and the use of AI-assisted development tools such as Git
  Hub Copilot

What we’re Looking for:

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in Data Engineering, Architecture, or similar roles.
• Extensive engineering skills, including machine learning engineering.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, Scala, C/C#) and SQL/No
  SQL database management systems (My
  SQL, Oracle, Mongo
  DB).
• Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development and tools.
• Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (Tensorflow, Spark) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka).
• Knowledge of time series databases (Timescale
  DB, Influx
  DB).
• Strong communication and
  - solving skills.
• High level of autonomy and proactivity.
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams.
• Ability to learn, adapt to, and apply new technologies and innovations.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
• Microservices architecture knowledge (API Gateways, API composition).
• Hot/cold storage management.
• Good understanding of the industry standards and best practices.
• Experience with Cloud and
  - hosted solutions.
