We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Portugal!
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with data consumers (Analytics, Product, Business) to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
- Design, build, and own
- performance, reusable, and scalable data models for the data warehouse, enabling consistent
- service analytics - Develop and optimize complex data transformations using SQL and Python
- Own the full data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and documentation
- Ensure high data quality through validation, testing, and proactive issue detection
- Contribute to analytics enablement by preparing curated datasets suitable for advanced analysis and predictive use cases
- Work across a modern cloud data stack including Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Fivetran, AWS, and GCP (Big
Query, Cloud Composer, Dataflow)
Skill Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer in a
- paced,
- driven environment - Proven ability to lead
-
- end data engineering projects with minimal supervision - Strong expertise in SQL and Python, with
- on experience in data modeling and data warehousing - Experience with transformation frameworks and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, Cloud Dataflow
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices applied to data (version control, testing, CI/CD)
- Strong experience building scalable data pipelines and warehouses using cloud platforms (Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Databricks/Spark)
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, scheduling tools, and API-based data integrations
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e. g. Looker, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, Power BI) to support analytics use cases
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data quality issues
- Self-starter with strong ownership,
- solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
