We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using batch and streaming approaches.
- Architect and manage scalable and secure data infrastructure across
- cloud environments, including data lakes, data warehouses, and
- time systems. - Implement and maintain
- time data ingestion and transformation pipelines using streaming technologies. - Develop and manage RESTful APIs and data services to enable scalable and secure data integration across platforms.
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data needs and support advanced analytics workflows.
- Design
- tolerant, highly available, and auditable data workflows with robust error handling and monitoring. - Define and enforce data engineering standards, CI/CD practices, and data validation processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership and architecture guidance across projects.
- Partner with data scientists to deploy ML models, integrate predictions into pipelines, and support model monitoring.
- Establish and enforce data governance practices, including lineage tracking, data quality checks, and privacy compliance (e. g. , GDPR).
- Contribute to and maintain data cataloging and metadata management systems to promote data discoverability.
- Integrate data workflows into CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment and monitoring using Dev
Ops best practices. - Build and run unit tests and integration tests for data processing workflows to ensure accuracy and robustness.
- Support performance optimization and
- efficient scaling of
- native data pipelines. - Collaborate with BI teams to deliver
- time dashboards and support data visualization with consistent and reliable data layers. - Maintain comprehensive documentation for data assets, pipelines, infrastructure, and operational procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Advanced English Level
Technical Skills
- Data Engineering & ETL/ELT: Minimum 5 years of experience designing and building scalable pipelines, performing data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources.
- SQL (Advanced): Minimum 5 years of experience Writing complex and optimized queries for analytics, modeling, and transformations in a data warehouse environment.
- Cloud Data Platforms: 3–5+ years of
- on experience with modern cloud data tools like Snowflake, Big
Query, Databricks, AWS Glue, etc. - CI/CD & Software Engineering Practices: Minimum 3 years of experience applying dev principles (e. g. version control, testing, modular code, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins).
- Advanced SQL/No
SQL skills; experience with data warehouses and big data platforms. - Proficient in Python, Java, or R.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and tools like Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis.
- Familiarity with
- time data processing, Ia
C tools (Terraform, Cloud
Formation), and CI/CD integration. - Understanding of data security, privacy regulations (e. g. , GDPR), and encryption best practices.
- Experience with monitoring, data cataloging, and lineage tools (e. g. , Data
Hub, Amundsen).
Analytical & Strategic Thinking
- Skilled in solving complex data issues and optimizing performance.
- Ability to design scalable data strategies aligned with business goals.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers.
- Strong communicator, able to work across analytics, data science, and Dev
Ops teams. - Exposure to dashboarding tools (Power BI, Looker, Qlik) is a plus.
