Job Summary

Keyrus is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in IFS ERP systems and real‑time data integration. The successful candidate will design, build, and optimise modern data pipelines and architectures that enable seamless, real‑time data flow between enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and analytics environments.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, a problem‑solving mindset, and the ability to work cross‑functionally to deliver scalable, high‑performance data solutions. We value individuals who are detail‑oriented, independent contributors with exceptional communication and problem‑solving skills.

Position is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for both real‑time and batch integrations.
• Lead data integration initiatives involving IFS Applications, ensuring efficient and reliable data exchange across enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality data solutions.
• Implement and manage streaming data architectures for real‑time insights.
• Optimize data workflows for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
• Support data modeling, warehousing, and API‑based integrations with enterprise systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers.

Requirements For The Role

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on real‑time data integration and enterprise system integration.
• Hands‑on experience with IFS Applications (IFS Connect, Data Migration tools, APIs, or IFS Cloud).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline orchestration tools (e. g. , Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue).
• Experience with streaming and messaging platforms (e. g. , Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs).
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Dev
  Ops practices for data engineering.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal.

Nice to have

• Experience with IFS Cloud or IFS ERP integrations in manufacturing, asset management, or service‑based industries.
• Knowledge of API management, microservices, and event‑driven architectures.
• Certifications in Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) or Data Engineering.
